The Florida Panthers announced a partnership with Payactiv on Oct. 22, 2026, to expand earned wage access and financial wellness services for employees. Through Payactiv, employees can access wages they have already earned, with no-fee access options available. The services also include tools for managing everyday budgets, unexpected costs and long-term financial goals.
The partnership stems from a nationwide agreement between Payactiv and Oak View Group. That agreement provides a way to deliver financial flexibility across the workforce through Payactiv’s infrastructure connecting employers, payroll systems and financial services. It also will introduce Payactiv to fans and visitors across Oak View Group’s national venue network.
Michael Romano details employee benefit
Michael Romano, the Florida Panthers’ senior vice president of finance and accounting, said the partnership adds financial support for employees. The program is designed to give employees more flexibility in accessing wages they have already earned. Romano said the organization wanted to provide that flexibility on employees’ terms.
“We’re proud to partner with Payactiv to offer this added financial benefit to our employees,” Romano said. “Our team works hard every day, and we’re glad to give them more flexibility and support to their earned wages on their terms.”
Part-time employees to receive added recognition
The partnership also includes recognition efforts for part-time employees who help make live events possible. The Florida Panthers and Payactiv will include an Employee of the Month program. Payactiv also will sponsor the annual Part Time Staff Appreciation Party.
Safwan Shah, Payactiv’s co-founder and CEO, said the partnership supports the employees behind the events. Shah said the earned wage access program gives employees additional flexibility when they need it. He also said Payactiv is proud to support the people who make those experiences possible.
