NCAA Division II

Florida's NCAA Division II section covers programs from the Sunshine State Conference, SIAC, Peach Belt and other Division II competition involving Florida schools. Expect game stories, recruiting, rankings, conference tournaments, championships and athletic-department news. Florida has been central to NCAA Division II history through the Sunshine State Conference, founded in 1975, as well as programs competing in the SIAC and Peach Belt. Sunshine State Conference schools have collectively won well over 100 NCAA Division II national championships, with Florida Southern, Tampa, Barry, Lynn, Nova Southeastern and others contributing deep title histories. The division has also served as an important bridge for programs such as Embry-Riddle and Edward Waters as their athletic identities evolved.
