Sioux Falls Skyforce

The Sioux Falls Skyforce category follows the Miami Heat's NBA G League affiliate. The Skyforce were founded in 1989 and spent nearly two decades in the Continental Basketball Association before joining the NBA Development League in 2006. Miami entered a single-affiliation partnership with Sioux Falls in 2013, and the team won the 2016 D-League championship during that relationship. The Heat later purchased a controlling interest, making Sioux Falls a long-term extension of Miami's development program.
