Stetson Hatters

The Stetson Hatters category covers Stetson University athletics at the NCAA Division I level. Football competes in the Pioneer Football League while most other varsity sports compete in the ASUN. Florida Sports Blog tracks schedules, scores, recruiting, coaching changes, conference races, postseason play and major program developments across the school's men's and women's teams. Stetson owns one of Florida's oldest college-sports traditions, with football dating to 1901 and early games that helped shape the state's intercollegiate history. The Hatters discontinued football after 1956 but revived the program in 2013 after a 57-year hiatus. Stetson's baseball and basketball programs also have long Division I histories, and the school has been a fixture in the conference now known as the ASUN.
