MiLB Double-A
Montgomery Biscuits
The Montgomery Biscuits category follows the Tampa Bay Rays' Double-A affiliate. Coverage focuses on Rays prospects, game results, promotions, roster movement and the developmental stories that connect Montgomery to Triple-A Durham and the major-league club. The Biscuits arrived in Montgomery in 2004 when the Orlando Rays franchise relocated to Alabama, continuing a Tampa Bay affiliation that began with the Rays organization. Montgomery won back-to-back Southern League championships in 2006 and 2007 and has remained Tampa Bay's Double-A partner ever since. The club is a key transition point for prospects moving from High-A toward Triple-A Durham.
