Heat Affiliate

The Miami Heat affiliate section follows Sioux Falls, the Heat's NBA G League development partner. It provides a dedicated place for prospect assignments, call-ups, roster development and stories involving players moving between Sioux Falls and Miami. Miami entered a single-affiliation partnership with the Sioux Falls Skyforce in 2013 and later purchased a controlling interest in the franchise in 2017. Sioux Falls won the 2016 NBA Development League championship during the relationship. The partnership has become a central part of Miami's player-development system, giving prospects, two-way players and rehabbing veterans a direct path to the Heat.
