Florida State Seminoles
The Florida State Seminoles category covers Florida State University athletics at the NCAA Division I level. The program competes primarily in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Florida Sports Blog tracks schedules, scores, recruiting, coaching changes, conference races, postseason play and major program developments across the school's men's and women's teams. Florida State's athletic roots reach to the early 1900s, but the modern program took shape after the school returned to coeducational status in 1947. FSU joined the Atlantic Coast Conference in 1991 and developed national powers in football, baseball, softball, soccer, track and other sports; football won national championships in 1993, 1999 and 2013. The Seminoles have become one of the country's most recognizable all-sports brands.
New Florida State Seminoles coverage will appear here as Florida Sports Blog publishes it.
