Florida Memorial Lions

The Florida Memorial Lions category covers Florida Memorial University athletics in the NAIA. The program competes in The Sun Conference. Florida Sports Blog follows schedules, scores, recruiting, conference races, national rankings, postseason events and program features across the school's varsity sports. Florida Memorial is one of the state's historic HBCUs and has been a member of The Sun Conference since the early 1990s. Lion football originally operated from 1945 through 1958 and was revived in 2020 after a 62-year absence, creating one of the most notable comeback stories in Florida small-college athletics. The school also has long traditions in basketball, track, soccer and other NAIA sports.
