Rays Affiliates

The Tampa Bay Rays affiliate section tracks the club's full-season minor-league development system. Durham is the Triple-A affiliate, Montgomery the Double-A affiliate, Bowling Green the High-A affiliate and Charleston the Single-A affiliate, keeping prospect and promotion coverage connected directly to Tampa Bay. The Rays have emphasized player development since the organization began, and several current partnerships rank among baseball's longer-running affiliations. Durham has been Tampa Bay's Triple-A partner since 1998, Bowling Green joined in 2009, and Charleston returned to the system in 2021 after also serving as a Rays affiliate from 1997-2004; Montgomery has been the Double-A home since the club moved there in 2004. The system has produced a steady stream of major-league contributors and championship minor-league teams.
