Nova Southeastern Sharks

The Nova Southeastern Sharks category covers Nova Southeastern University athletics at the NCAA Division II level. The program competes primarily in the Sunshine State Conference (SSC). Florida Sports Blog follows schedules, scores, recruiting, coaching changes, conference championships, NCAA postseason runs and notable achievements across the athletic department. Nova Southeastern athletics began in the NAIA in the early 1980s and transitioned into NCAA Division II competition in the 2000s. The school changed its athletic nickname from the Knights to the Sharks in 2005 and has since won numerous NCAA Division II championships across swimming, golf, baseball, basketball and other sports. The 2023 men's basketball national championship was one of the most visible recent milestones in the program's rise.
