South Florida Bulls
The South Florida Bulls category covers University of South Florida athletics at the NCAA Division I level. The program competes primarily in the American Conference. Florida Sports Blog tracks schedules, scores, recruiting, coaching changes, conference races, postseason play and major program developments across the school's men's and women's teams. USF launched intercollegiate athletics in 1965-66, initially with a small group of sports, and football did not begin until 1997. The Bulls rose quickly through Division I, joining the Big East in 2005 and later becoming a member of the American Athletic Conference. USF has earned national recognition in soccer, tennis, golf, track, baseball, softball and women's basketball while building one of the state's largest athletic departments.
New South Florida Bulls coverage will appear here as Florida Sports Blog publishes it.
