Rollins Tars

The Rollins Tars category covers Rollins College athletics at the NCAA Division II level. The program competes primarily in the Sunshine State Conference (SSC). Florida Sports Blog follows schedules, scores, recruiting, coaching changes, conference championships, NCAA postseason runs and notable achievements across the athletic department. Rollins, Florida's oldest college, has a long intercollegiate sports tradition and became a founding member of the Sunshine State Conference in 1975. The Tars have won a dozen NCAA Division II team national championships, with major success in golf, tennis and other sports. Rollins also once sponsored football, playing from the early 1900s until the program was discontinued after 1949.
