South Florida women’s lacrosse will compete in four fall play days and host an Alumni Game as head coach Mindy McCord’s program prepares for the upcoming season. South Florida opens fall schedule at home
The Bulls will begin the fall slate Saturday, Oct. 3, with an Alumni Game at the University of South Florida campus. Current South Florida players will face former Bulls in a matchup connecting past and present members of the program. The Alumni Game is separate from the schedule’s four competitive play days.
South Florida will host its fall home play day Saturday, Oct. 10, at the lacrosse practice field. Flagler, Stetson and Florida Southern will join the Bulls for the event. The play day is open to the public and free to attend.
Bulls will compete in Virginia and at Rutgers
South Florida will travel to Centerville, Va., on Sunday, Oct. 18, for the American Boy Fall Play Day. The Bulls will compete against John Hopkins, Pitt and William & Mary, with competition beginning at 10 a.m. The event will mark South Florida’s first road date of the fall schedule.
The Bulls will travel to Rutgers for another play day Saturday, Oct. 24. South Florida will compete against Rutgers, Colorado and Holy Cross. The schedule will conclude Saturday, Oct. 31, at the Tampa Fall Play Day hosted by the University of Tampa.
McCord enters third season after championship campaign
McCord is entering her third season as head coach of South Florida women’s lacrosse. She was named South Florida’s first head coach in May 2022. Under McCord, the Bulls advanced to the American Conference championship game in each of the program’s first two seasons.
South Florida won the 2026 American regular-season championship with a 6-0 conference record. The Bulls finished 12-5 in 2026 and earned an RPI ranking of No. 14, according to the source. McCord has produced two conference Player of the Year honorees and 11 All-Conference selections in the program’s first two seasons.
