The Jacksonville Jaguars elevated long snapper Jacob Bobenmoyer and cornerback Jabbar Muhammad from the practice squad to the active roster through standard elevation, the team announced Oct. 17, 2026. The moves were made for the Jaguars’ following game. Both players previously spent time on Jacksonville’s practice squad.
Bobenmoyer gives the Jacksonville Jaguars an experienced option at long snapper after playing for the Denver Broncos and Las Vegas Raiders. Muhammad returns to the active roster after being elevated for the Jaguars’ previous two games. The elevations add one special teams specialist and one defensive back for the upcoming game.
Jacob Bobenmoyer Brings 97 Games of NFL Experience
Bobenmoyer, 29, spent the 2025 season with Las Vegas and appeared in 17 games. He recorded four special teams tackles, including one solo tackle. Bobenmoyer originally signed with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent following the 2020 draft.
He played for Denver from 2020-22 and the Raiders from 2023-25. Bobenmoyer has appeared in 97 NFL games, recording 22 special teams tackles and one fumble recovery. His 22 special teams tackles trail only Ross Matiscik’s 25 among long snappers who entered the NFL in 2020.
Jabbar Muhammad Receives Another Elevation
Muhammad, 24, spent the 2025 season on the Jacksonville Jaguars’ practice squad. He originally signed with Jacksonville as an undrafted free agent following the 2025 draft. The Jaguars elevated him to the active roster for their previous two games before the latest move.
Muhammad attended Oklahoma State from 2020-22, Washington in 2023 and Oregon in 2024. He started all 14 games for Oregon in 2024 and recorded 41 tackles, including 22 solo tackles. He also earned 2024 All-Big Ten Second-Team honors and led the conference with 12 pass breakups.
FSB Take
The Jacksonville Jaguars are using standard elevations to bring two practice squad players to the active roster for the following game. Bobenmoyer’s career experience includes 97 NFL games and 22 special teams tackles, while Muhammad has received multiple recent elevations and produced a strong 2024 season at Oregon. Their roles differ, but both provide Jacksonville with verified experience at specialized positions ahead of the next game.
