Florida Gulf Coast Eagles women’s soccer remained the last unbeaten team in ASUN Conference action with a 3-2 victory over the Jacksonville Dolphins on Oct. 11, 2026, at Pickering Field in Fort Myers. Keira Morgan scored twice, including the game-winning goal, and Tessa Brooks added her first goal of the season. The Eagles extended their unbeaten streak to 11 games with the win.

Florida Gulf Coast improved to 7-1-5 overall and 4-0-2 in ASUN play. Jacksonville fell to 4-4-4 overall and 2-1-2 in conference action. The result also moved Florida Gulf Coast to 16-3-7 all time against Jacksonville and 11-1-3 at Pickering Field against the Dolphins.

Morgan scores twice for Florida Gulf Coast

Florida Gulf Coast opened the scoring in the 17th minute when Lexie Bennett played a long ball ahead to Morgan. Morgan won the race to the ball against the Jacksonville goalkeeper and finished with a left-footed tap-in for a 1-0 lead.

Jacksonville answered 1:39 later when Ragna Magnusdottir scored from a rebound to tie the match. Claudia Perez Avila assisted the goal. Florida Gulf Coast and Jacksonville went to halftime tied at 1, with the Eagles recording one shot on goal during the opening 45 minutes.

The Eagles regained the lead 2:15 into the second half. Kaitlin Gabelman threaded a pass to Kate Friday, who helped set up Morgan for her second goal of the match.

The performance marked the first multi-goal game of Morgan’s career. Florida Gulf Coast head coach Jim Blankenship said Morgan followed a multi-point performance Thursday with another important contribution against Jacksonville.

“Keira was phenomenal today,” FGCU head coach Jim Blankenship said. “Two assists Thursday and two goals today, she has been really big up front for our offense. We didn’t play as clean as we could defensively, but any time you can pick up a result and three points against a good team like them, you will take it.”

Brooks adds late goal

Florida Gulf Coast added to its lead in the 78th minute when Brooks collected the ball just outside the box and sent a shot into the upper corner past a diving Jacksonville goalkeeper. The goal was Brooks’ first of the season and put the Eagles ahead 3-1.

Jacksonville cut the deficit to one in the 81st minute when Millie Urquhart scored, assisted by Madelyn Radtke. The Dolphins later sent a potential tying shot high with 36 seconds remaining, but Florida Gulf Coast held on for the victory.

Brooks finished with a career-high four shots, including two on goal, during 64 minutes of action. Lily Borders created a first-half scoring chance, while Ryleigh Acosta and Brook Viccars combined on an overlapping run that led to Viccars’ off-target attempt in the 77th minute.

Florida Gulf Coast prepares for Senior Day

Florida Gulf Coast will host Stetson on Oct. 18, 2026, at 1 p.m. in its 2026 home finale. The match will also be Senior Day, with five seniors scheduled to be honored before kickoff.

The Eagles enter the home finale at 4-0-2 in ASUN play and riding an 11-game unbeaten streak. Florida Gulf Coast is the conference’s last unbeaten team after the victory over Jacksonville.

FSB Take

Florida Gulf Coast received the decisive scoring from Morgan and Brooks in a match that remained close into the final minutes. Morgan’s first career multi-goal game supplied the winning margin, while Brooks’ 78th-minute goal gave the Eagles important separation before Jacksonville answered. The Eagles now turn to their Oct. 18 home finale against Stetson, which will include Senior Day ceremonies.
