Orlando City B transferred forward Pedro Leão to Hatta FC of the UAE Pro League on Sept. 28, 2026. Orlando City B will retain a sell-on percentage if Hatta FC transfers Leão in the future. Leão is 20 years old.
Leão joined Orlando City B ahead of the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro season from CR Flamengo’s U-20 side. He led Orlando City B with eight goals during the 2026 campaign. He scored his first goal for the club on March 8 against Chicago Fire FC II.
Leão led Orlando City B in scoring
Leão also scored four goals across consecutive matches against Chattanooga FC and Carolina Core FC. Those goals contributed to his team-leading total during the 2026 campaign. His transfer gives Orlando City B a retained sell-on percentage tied to any future transfer by Hatta FC.
Ricardo Moreira praises Leão’s impact
Ricardo Moreira, Orlando City SC general manager and sporting director, praised Leão’s contributions after the transfer. Moreira said the opportunity reflected the work Leão had put in on and off the field. He also wished the forward well in the next chapter of his career.
“Pedro has been an important part of our group and has made a strong impact since arriving in Orlando,” Moreira said. “This opportunity is a testament to the work he has put in on and off the field. We are grateful for Pedro’s contributions to the club and wish him all the best in this next chapter of his career.”
FSB Take
Leão’s transfer follows a 2026 campaign in which he led Orlando City B with eight goals. The sell-on percentage gives Orlando City B a continued stake if Hatta FC transfers the forward in the future. His move also follows his arrival from CR Flamengo’s U-20 side ahead of the MLS NEXT Pro season.
