Martín Ojeda set Orlando City SC’s all-time club record for goals across all competitions Wednesday, scoring his 48th goal for the club in a 3-3 draw with Toronto FC at BMO Field in Toronto.

Orlando City SC rallied from two deficits to earn the point and entered the match with an 11-13-5 record and 38 points. The result left Orlando City SC seventh in the Eastern Conference with five regular-season matches remaining, while Toronto FC entered the match at 7-10-12 with 33 points.

Orlando City SC answered Toronto FC twice

Toronto FC scored first in the 26th minute through Theo Corbeanu, who was assisted by Lewis Morgan. Ojeda equalized just before halftime with a penalty kick awarded after a handball in the box, giving him his 15th goal across all competitions in 2026 and his 48th for Orlando City SC.

Ojeda filled in as captain for Robin Jansson, who missed the match. His penalty made him Orlando City SC’s all-time leading goalscorer across all competitions.

Toronto FC regained the lead four minutes into the second half after Maxime Crépeau made an initial save. Corbeanu scored on the rebound, restoring Toronto FC’s advantage.

Antoine Griezmann equalized for Orlando City SC in the 77th minute with his 10th MLS goal of the season. The goal extended Griezmann’s run to nine consecutive MLS matches with a goal contribution.

Daryl Dike put Orlando City SC ahead 3-2 in the 83rd minute after receiving an assist from Griezmann. Dike’s goal was his third across all competitions in 2026 and his 22nd all-time for Orlando City SC across all competitions.

Toronto FC found its late equalizer through Matheus Pereira after Crépeau parried a long-range effort from Djordje Mihailovic. Pereira reached the rebound and scored, leaving the teams to split the points.

Orlando City SC contributions and absences

Griezmann recorded 17 goal contributions, including 11 goals and six assists, in 17 appearances across all competitions since joining Orlando City SC in July. Iván Angulo recorded his 13th assist across all competitions on Dike’s goal and leads Orlando City SC with 19 goal contributions, including six goals and 13 assists.

Interim head coach Martín Perelman made two changes to Orlando City SC’s starting lineup from the previous match against the Columbus Crew, inserting Iago and Luís Otávio. Griffin Dorsey, Robin Jansson, Justin Ellis, Marco Pašalić and Tyrese Spicer missed the match because of injuries or suspension-related absences listed by the club.

“I think it was a game, first half, we dominate, and we unfortunately concede a goal. And then in the second half, pretty similar situation. I think at the end of the day, we concede goals that costs us too much and force mistakes. Maybe we need to improve there, but as well, it’s true that the team came here and I think dominated the game and in normal situations we would win. It was a point. It’s not what we wanted because we came here to win. Things to improve like always, but at the same time, great effort from the players, personality to play here. The effort was there, the performance, as well, and that’s it. It’s a point on the road. Now we continue on our journey until the end,” Perelman said.

“A little bit frustrating because I think we did well to put ourselves in a good position, and of course, you’re never going to be happy when you don’t win. A good point away from home, but of course, we want to win, so it’s frustrating to lose two points in the manner that we did,” Dike said.

What comes next

Orlando City SC will return home to Inter.co Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026, to host D.C. United. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET on Apple TV.

FSB Take

Ojeda’s record-setting penalty gave Orlando City SC a significant individual milestone in a match the club had to chase twice. Orlando City SC also received key attacking contributions from Griezmann, Dike and Angulo, but Toronto FC’s late equalizer prevented the visitors from taking all three points. The next test comes at home against D.C. United with five regular-season matches remaining.
