Sporting Club Jacksonville announced that Sporting JAX women’s soccer defender Georgia Brown has been called up to the Scotland Women’s Senior National Team for FIFA Women’s World Cup qualification playoff matches in October.
Scotland is scheduled to face Czechia on Friday, October 9, and Tuesday, October 13. The matches will mark another senior international opportunity for Brown, who received her first Scotland senior-team call-up in October 2025.
Brown’s 2026 Sporting JAX season
Brown has made four starts for Sporting JAX during the 2026 Gainbridge Super League Fall Season. She played the entirety of each appearance, according to Sporting Club Jacksonville.
The second-year professional defender has recorded 22 clearances, five interceptions and two blocks. Brown also has an 85.6% passing success rate during the Fall Season.
Brown’s Scotland experience
Brown was named to the Gainbridge Super League All-League Second Team as a rookie last season. She received her first call-up to Scotland’s senior team in October 2025.
During that international opportunity, Brown appeared in friendlies against Switzerland and Ukraine. She later made her first start against China PR.
FSB Take
Brown’s call-up gives Sporting JAX representation in Scotland’s FIFA Women’s World Cup qualification playoff matches against Czechia. Her four starts and defensive production during the 2026 Gainbridge Super League Fall Season provide verified context for her return to senior international duty.
