Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations and play-by-play voice Scott Kornberg will join the Marlins Radio Network for the Miami Marlins’ three-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers from September 11-13, 2026, at loanDepot park.
The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp announced the assignment Sept. 8. Kornberg will work with Miami Marlins analyst AJ Ramos and pregame host Stephen Strom on the Marlins Radio Network during the series.
Fans can listen on 940 WINZ AM and 94.9 HD2 in South Florida, as well as worldwide on MLB.tv and the MLB app. Kornberg has called regular-season and Spring Training games on Marlins Radio dating back to 2020, and he appeared on the Miami Marlins’ regular-season broadcasts during each of the last three seasons.
Kornberg made his regular-season Major League Baseball debut on the Marlins Radio Network on May 18, 2024. He had the walk-off call in the Miami Marlins’ 10-9 win over the New York Mets.
“I am incredibly grateful to both the Miami Marlins and the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp for the opportunity to return to the major leagues,” Kornberg said. “For this to come against the Dodgers – the team my grandparents rooted for when they lived in Brooklyn years ago – only makes this series even more special to me. There are a lot of people who continue to support me in this amazing journey. Thank you to all my family and friends, in particular my wife, Madie, our kids, Sam, Alma and Luca, my parents, David and Paula, and my siblings Michaela, Adam and Ian for their love and belief in me. It means more than they will ever know.”
Kornberg’s Jacksonville role
Kornberg is in his seventh season with the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp and 12th season in professional baseball. The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp are the Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins and compete in the International League.

He hosts the Turn 2 Podcast with former Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp player and current Colorado Rockie Troy Johnston, and he helps manage the team’s presence and coverage across a variety of platforms.
Kornberg also works as a gameday member of the Jacksonville Jaguars’ public relations staff during the baseball offseason. He is the ESPN Plus voice of Jacksonville University women’s basketball and volleyball and has filled in as a play-by-play broadcaster for the Alabama Crimson Tide Sports Network and NC State Wolfpack Sports Network.
Kornberg’s broadcasting background
