Florida Gulf Coast Eagles women’s soccer will play its first road game of ASUN Conference play Thursday at Lipscomb in Nashville. The Eagles entered the week atop the ASUN Conference table after opening league play 1-0-1. The match is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT and will stream on ESPN+.

Florida Gulf Coast went 2-0-2 in September during a five-game homestand at Pickering Field. The Eagles opened ASUN play with a 3-0 victory over Queens before drawing West Florida 0-0. The result against West Florida extended Florida Gulf Coast’s unbeaten start to conference play.

Florida Gulf Coast enters with strong defensive form

Florida Gulf Coast outshot Queens 26-1 in its 3-0 ASUN-opening victory. Kate Friday scored the opening goal, Kaitlin Gabelman added her team-leading fourth goal of the season, and Keira Morgan scored late to complete the win. The Eagles then held West Florida scoreless in the conference draw.

Madara Bome has kept Florida Gulf Coast scoreless in three consecutive games and has played the previous 294 minutes without conceding a goal. She leads the ASUN with three solo clean sheets during the 2026 season. Bome was named ASUN Goalkeeper of the Week, while Hanna Phillips earned ASUN Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Lipscomb returns home for conference matchup

Lipscomb enters the match with a 3-2-4 record in the 2026 season and has earned all three of its wins at home. The Bisons opened ASUN road play with a 2-2 draw against Jacksonville and a 1-0 loss to North Florida. Thursday’s match will be Florida Gulf Coast’s first ASUN road game.

Lipscomb has scored nine goals in nine games and allowed seven, the second-best defensive total in the ASUN. Tatum Ahlemeyer has scored four of Lipscomb’s nine goals. She also has recorded the game-winning goal in all three of the team’s victories.

Florida Gulf Coast owns series advantage

Florida Gulf Coast holds an 11-3-6 advantage in the all-time series against Lipscomb. The Eagles have earned a result in nine of their 10 previous meetings in Nashville. The teams drew 2-2 in their previous meeting in the city in 2024.

Three of the previous four meetings have ended in draws, including the last two. That recent history sets up another closely contested matchup between the Eagles and Lipscomb. The game is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 1, in Nashville, with the official calendar listing a 7 p.m. start.

FSB Take

Florida Gulf Coast enters its first ASUN road test at the top of the conference table after a 1-0-1 start and three consecutive scoreless defensive performances. Lipscomb presents a challenge at home after earning all three of its victories there while allowing seven goals in nine games. The Eagles’ defensive form, led by Madara Bome and Hanna Phillips, will be tested against a Lipscomb attack led by Tatum Ahlemeyer.
