The Miami Dolphins held a School Beautification Project Oct. 28 at The Light Preparatory Academy in Miami Gardens as part of the 2026 Football UNITES Jason Jenkins Days of Service. Twenty-five volunteers planted, gardened and painted across the school campus during the project. The effort was sponsored by Gallagher and positively impacted 250 members of the school community.

The volunteers’ work gave students a refreshed space to learn and grow. The project was part of a month-long initiative honoring the life, leadership and legacy of Jason Jenkins. Jenkins was the late Miami Dolphins senior vice president of communications and community affairs.

Service project honored Jason Jenkins

Jason Jenkins Days of Service brings the Dolphins family together through service during October. The School Beautification Project connected that initiative to a direct improvement at a Miami Gardens school. Planting, gardening and painting provided the central activities across The Light Preparatory Academy campus.

The 2026 initiative concluded Oct. 30, which would have been Jenkins’ 52nd birthday. That conclusion came two days after the project at The Light Preparatory Academy. The school beautification effort was one of the service activities included in this year’s Jason Jenkins Days of Service.

FSB Take

The project paired a measurable community benefit with the Dolphins’ effort to honor Jason Jenkins’ legacy. Twenty-five volunteers contributed work that reached 250 members of The Light Preparatory Academy community. Because the initiative concluded Oct. 30, the campus project stands as a completed part of the 2026 month-long service observance.
