Ralston also ranked 10th among the qualified pitchers with a 31.1 percent strikeout rate. His Jacksonville season included the league’s top marks in several key pitching categories.

Ralston moved from Jacksonville to the Miami Marlins

The Miami Marlins added Ralston to their 40-man roster on Aug. 3, 2026. The Marlins recalled him Aug. 23, and he made his major league debut that day with two scoreless innings against the Washington Nationals at loanDepot park in Miami.

As of the source publication, Ralston had pitched in 16 games for the Miami Marlins and recorded 19 strikeouts in 17.1 innings. The St. Louis Cardinals selected him in the seventh round of the 2019 draft out of UCLA.

Ralston reached Triple-A Memphis during his seven years in the St. Louis Cardinals organization before electing free agency after the 2025 season. The Miami Marlins signed him to a minor league deal in December.

Jacksonville has an International League All-Star in consecutive seasons

Ralston’s selection gives the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp an International League All-Star in consecutive seasons. Left-handed pitcher Robby Snelling earned the honor after the 2025 season.

The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp are the Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins and compete in the International League. The team plays its home games at VyStar Ballpark in Jacksonville, Fla.

FSB Take

Ralston’s Jacksonville numbers provide the clearest measure of his All-Star season. His selection also continues Jacksonville’s run of consecutive-season International League All-Star honors.
