He also received the Nick Vitucci Award as ECHL Goaltender of the Year in each of the last two seasons. Those honors add to his record of seven ECHL Goaltender of the Week selections.

Johnson has appeared in 53 American Hockey League games with Charlotte, Cleveland and Binghamton, posting an 18-25-8 record with one shutout. FSB Take

Johnson’s latest honor reflects both the results and efficiency of his two appearances against Atlanta. His four ECHL wins lead the league, while his goals-against average and save percentage place him among the league’s top statistical performers. That combination gives the Florida Everblades a goaltender producing at an elite level early in the season.
