University of Miami Athletics and Progressive Insurance announced Aug. 27, 2026, a multi-year sponsorship naming Progressive the presenting sponsor of the Miami Hurricanes-Florida State football rivalry. The sponsorship begins with the 2026 season and spans Miami Athletics, Florida State Athletics and their respective home football seasons. The 2026 Miami-Florida State matchup will take place in Miami.
Progressive field logos will appear at every Miami home football game throughout the 2026 season. The logos also will be displayed at every Florida State home football game during the season. The arrangement gives Progressive a field presence across both programs beyond the rivalry matchup itself.
2026 Miami-Florida State matchup set for Miami
The Miami-Florida State rivalry dates to 1951 and includes two football programs with fan bases across Florida. Progressive will begin its presenting sponsorship as the 2026 season gets underway. The rivalry matchup will be played in Miami, allowing the company to activate the sponsorship on the Miami Hurricanes’ home field.
