Florida Atlantic senior goalkeeper Alfred Mikkelsen was named the American Conference Men’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week on Monday, Sept. 7.
Mikkelsen held Cleveland State scoreless in Saturday’s 0-0 draw. The senior has four shutouts through Florida Atlantic’s first five matches of the season, tying him for the Division I lead. The match also marked the 10th shutout of his career and moved him into a tie for third in Florida Atlantic program history.
This is Mikkelsen’s second career American Conference weekly honor. His previous recognition came Aug. 25, 2025.
Florida Atlantic opens conference play Friday
No. 19 Florida Atlantic men’s soccer will open American Conference play Friday, Sept. 11, against No. 25 Charlotte. Kickoff at FAU Soccer Stadium is scheduled for 7 p.m., with the match available on ESPN+.
