Barry University Athletics has partnered with Podium X to give student-athletes tools for career development, personal marketing and Name, Image and Likeness opportunities. The platform is designed to help students prepare for and apply for jobs and internships while marketing themselves for NIL prospects. The announcement was made Sept. 21, 2026, in Miami Shores, Florida.

Frank Gonzalez, Barry University Athletics associate athletic director for student success, said the partnership will help student-athletes connect the skills they develop through competition with career, internship and professional opportunities. He said Podium X will support Barry’s broader commitment to developing the whole student-athlete and preparing students for life after sports.

“We are excited to partner with Podium X to provide our student-athletes with another valuable resource to prepare for success beyond their time in athletics,” Gonzalez said. “Our goal is to help student-athletes recognize the skills and experiences they develop through competition and translate them into meaningful career, internship, and professional opportunities. Podium X will be an important addition to our commitment to developing the whole student-athlete and preparing them for life after sport.”

Podium X career and marketing tools

Podium X provides online athlete profiles designed to highlight business, athletic, leadership and educational experience. The profiles can also include media clips related to an athlete’s sports career. Students can use those profiles to organize and present their backgrounds for employers and potential NIL opportunities.

The platform allows students to create resume PDFs and apply for jobs through the service or externally. It also provides artificial intelligence assistance with cover letters and thank-you notes, along with interview preparation and resume optimization tools. Those features are intended to support student-athletes throughout the job and internship process.

Podium X recently added a resume parser that allows athletes to upload and customize resumes. The service includes 20 templates as well as options for fonts, colors and column spacing. These tools give users additional ways to format their career materials.

Platform reaches athletes at more than 450 schools

Podium X states that it is trusted by more than 22,000 athletes representing more than 450 schools. The company also states that it is formally partnered with more than 50 organizations. Its tools support career development, recruitment, personal branding and marketing for sponsorship opportunities.
