The Jupiter Hammerheads category covers this Single-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins. Florida Sports Blog follows game results, prospects, roster moves, promotions, transactions and player-development stories, with emphasis on players moving through the organization toward the major leagues. The Jupiter Hammerheads began play in 1998 and have been affiliated with the Miami Marlins since 2002, making Jupiter the longest-running current Marlins affiliate outside the organizations owned directly by Miami. The club won its first Florida State League championship in 2023. Sharing Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium with the Palm Beach Cardinals gives Jupiter one of the league's distinctive two-team homes.
Echedry Vargas hit his 25th home run to set the Jupiter Hammerheads single-season record, but Tampa defeated Jupiter 2-1 in five innings.
