LOVB Nebraska added Brazilian libero Keyt Alves to its 2026-27 women’s volleyball roster ahead of the Omaha-based team’s third professional season. Alves spent the past six years playing in Brazil and joins a roster that includes returning libero Lexi Rodriguez.
Alves is a native of Bauru, Sao Paulo, Brazil, and made her top-division Superliga debut with Sesi Volei Bauru during the 2024-25 season. She helped Sesi Volei Bauru win the 2026 South American Club Championship and the 2025-26 Paulista Championship. Earlier in her career, Alves helped Abel/Moda Brusque capture the 2021-22 Superliga C title.
“Keyt has competed and won in a strong volleyball environment in Brazil,” said Kirsten Bernthal Booth, President of Business Operations for LOVB Nebraska. “She brings experience, energy and another option in the backcourt. We’re excited to welcome her to Nebraska and see what she adds to this group.”
Alves joins returning libero Lexi Rodriguez
Alves gives LOVB Nebraska another libero as the team prepares for its third season in LOVB Pro, the professional league of League One Volleyball. Rodriguez was included among the returning players when LOVB Nebraska announced its initial 2026-27 roster in July. That roster featured four Olympians, two Olympic medalists and four Nebraska natives.
LOVB Nebraska began play in 2025 and is based in Omaha. The team represents the state of Nebraska as an inaugural member of LOVB Pro. Alves’ addition adds another player with recent championship experience in Brazil to the 2026-27 group.
