Seminoles bring momentum from season-opening title

Florida State won the Folds of Honor Collegiate after overcoming a seven-stroke deficit in the final round. The Seminoles shot a five-under 283 in the final round and finished at three-under. The victory marked Florida State’s first season-opening event title since 2016 and the program’s 30th career team win under head coach Amy Bond.

Nakatani won her first collegiate title at the Folds of Honor Collegiate after shooting a four-under 68 in the third round. She finished at six-under 210 with rounds of 72, 70 and 68 and shared medalist honors. Fullbrook shot one-under 215 and finished ninth, recording her 10th career top-10 finish as a Seminole.

This will be Florida State’s second appearance in the Jackson T. Stephens Cup. The Seminoles tied for fourth in the team standings in 2024 but did not advance to match play after losing the tiebreaker. Six individual players from Navy, Howard, Prairie View A&M and Jackson State also will participate in the event.
