Reece Beekman scored a career-high 26 points on 8-of-11 shooting as the Osceola Magic defeated the Motor City Cruise 123-116 on April 3, 2026. The victory sent the Osceola Magic to its second straight Eastern Conference Finals.
Colin Castleton added 22 points for the Osceola Magic, while Javonte Smart and Lester Quiñones scored 17 points apiece. Chaz Lanier led the Motor City Cruise with 27 points, and Wendell Moore Jr. added 26. Tolu Smith III recorded a 14-point, 12-rebound double-double.
Beekman’s 3-pointer gives Osceola the lead
The Eastern Conference Semifinal featured 20 lead changes, and neither team led by more than eight points. The Motor City Cruise held a 56-53 halftime advantage before the Osceola Magic outscored the Cruise 39-36 in the third quarter to tie the game at 92-92.
Motor City took a brief two-point lead with just over three minutes remaining. Beekman answered with a 3-pointer, putting the Osceola Magic ahead for good as the team closed out the seven-point victory.
“I wasn’t here last year, but I know that’s the standard out here. We had the one seed this season and last year, so we want to play like we earned it. We just have to keep putting our heads down. Today was a crazy game, lots of ups and downs, but we stayed the course and came out on top,” Beekman said.
Osceola Magic to host Greensboro Swarm
The Osceola Magic will host the Greensboro Swarm in the Eastern Conference Finals on Sunday, April 5, at Osceola Heritage Park. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET, and the game will be available on Prime Video.
Based in Kissimmee, Florida, the Osceola Magic is the NBA G League affiliate of the Orlando Magic. The team was the 2025 Eastern Conference champion and won the 2021 NBA G League Championship.
