The 2025-26 season was historic for the Inter Miami CF Academy as it highlighted player development milestones and competitive success across youth and professional levels. Noah Allen, a homegrown defender, became the Club’s all-time leader in appearances by surpassing 118 games, setting a new standard for Academy graduates.
Inter Miami CF II’s 2026 MLS NEXT Pro roster nearly exclusively featured Academy talent, with 35 of 37 players being homegrown. Seventeen Academy players, including Matthias Vieux, Matteo De Paula, and Leandro Padilla, made their professional debuts, illustrating the Club’s commitment to fostering young talent.
The Academy also had unprecedented representation in Inter Miami CF’s First Team. Four players — Daniel Pinter, Alexander Shaw, Cesar Abadia, and Preston Plambeck — signed First Team contracts in the same season for the first time in Club history. Additionally, a record seven Academy players appeared together in an MLS match against Charlotte FC, with five starting and two entering as substitutes.
Youth success extended off the professional pitch as the Academy’s teams from U-8 through U-19 competed in the Dreams Cup tournament, which nearly doubled in size from its inaugural year. Eight of the eleven participating Inter Miami CF Academy teams reached their finals, with seven claiming championships amidst over 1,900 matches held across South Florida venues.
Goalkeeper Levi Williams, representing the U-16 age group, earned selection to the prestigious 44-player MLS NEXT All-Star roster, becoming the eighth Academy player to achieve this honor in five years.
A landmark kit unveiling introduced the Messi-branded Promise Kit to the Academy, marking the first time youth players wore jerseys featuring the Messi logo, symbolizing the Club’s aspirational and developmental philosophies.
Forward-thinking player development was further exemplified by midfielder Benjamin Cremaschi’s transfer to Serie A club Parma Calcio 1913, making him the first Inter Miami CF Academy graduate to reach a major European league. Cremaschi had previously become the first Academy product to reach 100 Club appearances and was the fifth to sign a First Team contract.
The Academy also reintroduced the Libertad Para Jugar initiative, offering open tryouts to expand access for aspiring young footballers seeking to enter the development program.
The efforts of coaches, players, and staff culminated in a season regarded as one of the most successful in Inter Miami CF Academy history, underscoring the Club’s strategic investment in cultivating the next generation of professional soccer talent in South Florida.
