Jacksonville Jaguars Elevate Muhammad and Merriweather
Muhammad, 24, is a cornerback listed at 5 feet 10 inches and 185 pounds. He wears No. 37 and attended Oregon. Muhammad was elevated to the active roster in Week 4 and made his NFL debut after spending the 2025 season on the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad.
Muhammad originally signed with Jacksonville as an undrafted free agent following the 2025 draft. His elevation for the following day’s game is a temporary move under the NFL’s standard elevation process.
Merriweather, 26, is a safety listed at 6 feet and 207 pounds. He wears No. 26 and attended Iowa. Merriweather spent the 2025 season with Tampa Bay and Houston, appearing in 12 games for Tampa Bay and one game for Houston.
Merriweather recorded 11 tackles, including one tackle for loss, and forced a safety during the 2025 season. He originally signed with Tampa Bay as an undrafted free agent following the 2023 draft. Merriweather has played in 43 career games, including seven starts, with 49 tackles, 20 solo tackles, two passes defended and one tackle for loss.
