Georgia College defeated the Flagler College women’s soccer team 3-0 on Saturday, Sept. 19, in a Peach Belt Conference match in Milledgeville, Georgia. The loss was Flagler College’s first in conference play this season. Flagler College entered the match 2-4-1 overall and 2-1 in the Peach Belt Conference, while Georgia College entered 4-2 overall and 2-0 in league play.
Cheely scores twice before halftime
Mackenzly Cheely gave Georgia College the lead in the seventh minute with an assist from Alayna Cobb. Cheely scored again in the 26th minute, with Lauren Dozier credited with the assist. Georgia College carried a 2-0 lead into halftime.
Georgia College added its final goal in the 69th minute. Brittany Bakke scored with an assist from Kat Wilber to complete the scoring. Cheely led Georgia College with two goals in 51 minutes, while Bakke added one goal.
Flagler College produces six shots on goal
Both teams generated 10 shots, but Georgia College put eight on goal compared with six for Flagler College. Netanya Brown led Flagler College with three shots, including two on target. Ava Scott, Haley Stafford, Brooke Rienecker, Ella Gembicki and Analena Jacob each recorded one shot.
Freshman Eleanora Close made her second career start and recorded two shots on goal in 57 minutes. Trinity Gray battled for position with Alayna Cobb inside the box on Georgia College’s opening goal. Flagler College fell to 12-6-3 all time against Georgia College.

Flagler College will open a three-game homestand against No. 22 Lander on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026. The match is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Saints Field. The Peach Belt Conference Sports Network will carry the match.
