Coen said the players understood the importance of the opportunity ahead. “I think they were eager, ready to go, knowing what’s kind of at stake in a lot of ways, and knowing what the opportunity is in front of us.”
Jaguars Prepare for Noise at Empower Field at Mile High
The Jacksonville Jaguars also adjusted their preparation for the noise expected at Empower Field at Mile High. The work included changes to walkthrough and practice routines, particularly for offensive players who may not hear every part of a play call.
“Every play, you’re not going to hear the full [play call],” Coen said. “It’s just not probably possible. You have to be able to know the whole thing so well that maybe you only pick up bits and pieces, but you can go and execute. You know what the play is called, and you can go and do that.”
Coen said the Jaguars carried that focus into walkthroughs and practices while music played loudly. “So appreciative of the guys taking some of that intentionality into the walkthrough settings into practice when we’ve had the music blaring. Hopefully, it does help.”
Six Jacksonville Jaguars Players Expected to Be Available
Six Jacksonville Jaguars players were listed without game status on the Friday third and final injury report. That designation means the players were expected to be available for Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos.
LeQuint Allen Jr. was listed with a hip injury and practiced on a limited basis Friday. Brian Thomas Jr. was listed with a shoulder injury and Jakobi Meyers was listed with a thumb injury; both practiced on a limited basis.
