The Jacksonville Jaguars will take a 1-0 record into their Week 2 game against the Denver Broncos, with coach Liam Coen encouraged by the team’s preparation and practice execution. Jacksonville is scheduled to play Sunday at 4:05 p.m. at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado.
The Jaguars opened the season with a 34-10 victory over the Cleveland Browns, while the Denver Broncos entered Week 2 at 0-1. The matchup features the teams identified as the 2025 division champions, and Jacksonville has won nine consecutive games dating to last season and 10 of its last 11.
“I think they (Jaguars players) have handled the week thus far really well,” Coen said.

Jacksonville used music during walkthroughs and practices to simulate the communication challenges expected in a loud Denver environment. The approach was designed to help players recognize and execute play calls even when they cannot hear every word.
“Every play, you’re not going to hear the full [play call],” Coen said. “It’s just not probably possible. You have to be able to know the whole thing so well that maybe you only pick up bits and pieces, but you can go and execute. You know what the play is called, and you can go and do that.”
Coen also praised the team’s Wednesday practice and said the Jaguars showed the right mindset, energy and effort during the week. “I thought we had one of our better Wednesday practices that I’ve been around in a while,” Coen said.
“So appreciative of the guys taking some of that intentionality into the walkthrough settings into practice when we’ve had the music blaring. Hopefully, it does help,” Coen said.
Six Jacksonville Jaguars players expected available
Six Jacksonville Jaguars players were listed without a game status on Friday’s third and final injury report, meaning they were expected to be available Sunday. LeQuint Allen Jr. was listed with a hip injury, Brian Thomas Jr. with a shoulder injury and Jakobi Meyers with a thumb injury; all three were limited in Friday’s practice.
Cole Van Lanen was listed with a knee injury, Foyesade Oluokun with a wrist injury and Christian Braswell with a knee injury. All three were listed as full participants in Friday’s practice and carried no game status.
The Jacksonville Jaguars and Denver Broncos are scheduled to meet in Week 2 of the 2026 regular season at Empower Field at Mile High.
