Adam Zebrowski hit two home runs, lifting the Columbus Clingstones to a 3-2 victory over the Pensacola Blue Wahoos on Tuesday evening, Sept. 1, 2026, in Columbus, Ga. The game opened Pensacola’s final road series of the regular season. The loss was the Blue Wahoos’ first one-run defeat since July 29.
Ethan O’Donnell put the Pensacola Blue Wahoos ahead with a solo home run in the second inning against Columbus Clingstones starter Cam Caminiti. Caminiti earned his first Double-A win after allowing one run on four hits in six innings and striking out eight. Owen Carey tied the game with an RBI single in the fourth inning, but he was thrown out while trying to stretch the hit into a double.
Adam Zebrowski Provides the Difference
Gabe Bierman worked three innings of relief for the Pensacola Blue Wahoos before Adam Zebrowski gave the Columbus Clingstones the lead with a solo home run in the fifth inning. Zebrowski hit another solo home run in the seventh to make it 3-1. Bierman took the loss.
The Pensacola Blue Wahoos mounted their final threat in the eighth inning against Blane Abeyta. Dylan Jasso walked, and Adrian Santana followed with an RBI double before advancing to third base on a wild pitch as the tying run. Aiva Arquette struck out, and Juan Matheus ended the inning with a flyout to center field.
Duncan Davitt struck out the side in the ninth inning to earn the save. Arquette went 1-for-3 with a stolen base. Brandon Compton went 0-for-4, ending his 22-game on-base streak.
Pensacola Maintains Second-Half Lead
Despite the loss, the Pensacola Blue Wahoos remained 6.5 games ahead of the Columbus Clingstones in the second-half race. Pensacola had a magic number of five with 11 regular-season games remaining. The defeat was also the Blue Wahoos’ first time losing consecutive games since they dropped three straight from Aug. 2-5.
