Santa Fe Saints forward Isyss Mims was selected as the Tuesday Teammate of the Week. The honor recognizes her leadership and involvement with the community during her first season with Santa Fe Women’s Basketball. UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine sponsors the weekly selection.

Mims enters her first season with Santa Fe Women’s Basketball in 2026-27. The 5-foot-10 forward is from Margate, Florida, and attended Blanche Ely High School. She also played AAU basketball for New Era and is working toward a Sports Management degree.

Mims has developed into a young leader during her first couple of months at Santa Fe. She is vocal in practice and someone her teammates can rely on. Her background includes first-team and second-team Sun Sentinel honors and Class 3A/4A/5A second-team All-Tournament recognition.

Leadership beyond the court

Mims also contributes during Santa Fe community engagement events. She engages with young students and other community members during those activities. Her involvement reflects the broader role recognized by the Teammate of the Week award.

The Student-Athlete Advisory Council, Santa Fe sport-specific coaches and the athletic director nominate candidates for the weekly honor. UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine sponsors the selection across all five Santa Fe Saints sports teams. The award recognizes student-athletes who positively impact their teams, communities, classmates and families.

FSB Take

Mims’ selection gives Santa Fe Women’s Basketball a recognized leader as she begins her first season with the program. Her vocal presence in practice and reliability for teammates provide a clear team-based reason for the honor. Her engagement with students and community members also shows that the recognition extends beyond on-court responsibilities.
