The Jacksonville Icemen agreed to terms with defenseman Jack Babbage for the 2026-27 season. Babbage joined the Icemen midway through the 2025-26 campaign and played six games with Jacksonville. The 2026-27 season will be Babbage’s first full season in professional hockey.
Babbage, 25, is from Tully, New York, and is listed at 6 feet 1 inch and 192 pounds. He played five seasons of NCAA Division I college hockey before beginning his professional career. Three of those seasons came at the University of New Hampshire, with the other two seasons at Quinnipiac University and St. Lawrence University.
During his United States Hockey League career, Babbage was a member of the Chicago Steel’s 2021 Clark Cup championship team. The Jacksonville Icemen are ECHL affiliates of the NHL’s Minnesota Wild and the AHL’s Iowa Wild.
Jacksonville Icemen announce 2026-27 roster agreements
The Jacksonville Icemen also announced the players who have agreed to terms with the team for the 2026-27 season. The group includes one goaltender, four defensemen and nine forwards. The announced players are:
