Anton Khelil and Luciano Natoli earned ASUN Conference weekly honors after University of North Florida Men’s Soccer recorded wins at South Florida and Jacksonville.
Khelil was named ASUN Player of the Week, while Natoli was selected as ASUN Goalkeeper of the Week. The honors, announced Sept. 8, were the first weekly awards of the season for University of North Florida Men’s Soccer.
University of North Florida earned its first win of the season at South Florida on Sept. 1 before opening conference play with a victory at crosstown rival Jacksonville on Sept. 5.
Khelil Contributes in Both Wins
Khelil, a senior midfielder, scored his first goal of the season and the seventh of his career at South Florida. His one-touch strike in the 11th minute stood as the game-winner.
Khelil also recorded an assist on the equalizer in the 87th minute at Jacksonville. He played the full 90 minutes in both matches.
Natoli Extends Shutout Record
Natoli, a fifth-year goalkeeper, recorded his 14th career shutout at South Florida. The shutout extended his program-record total.
Natoli added a save at Jacksonville and played the full 90 minutes in each match.
