The Orlando Solar Bears agreed to terms with forward Kobe Walker on a contract for the 2026-27 season. Walker, 28, joins the ECHL club after recording 37 points, including 14 goals and 23 assists, in 47 games with Aalborg Pirates of Metal Ligaen. The Lloydminster, Alberta, native is a right winger who has also played in the ECHL, NCAA and Alberta Junior Hockey League.
Walker recorded 82 points, including 38 goals and 44 assists, in 93 career ECHL games with the Wichita Thunder. He also posted 18 penalty minutes and a plus-32 rating during that span. Walker tied for fifth in the ECHL with 30 goals during the 2024-25 season and ranked 11th in the league with 66 points.
Walker played five seasons of college hockey at Rochester Institute of Technology and wore a letter during his final two seasons. He served as captain during his best college season in 2022 and finished fifth on the team with 23 points. Walker compiled 80 points, including 40 goals and 40 assists, in 142 career NCAA games.
Walker played three junior seasons with the Lloydminster Bobcats of the Alberta Junior Hockey League from 2016-18. He recorded 107 points, including 46 goals and 61 assists, in 121 games with the Bobcats. Walker led Lloydminster in points during the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons.
