The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed kicker B.T. Potter on June 8, 2026, adding a decorated Clemson University alumnus to their NFL roster. To accommodate Potter, the Buccaneers waived punter Aidan Laros.
Potter, who played collegiately for Clemson from 2018 to 2022, appeared in 59 games and holds several school records, including the all-time leader in made field goals (73), made extra points (234), points scored by a kicker (453), and consecutive extra points made (122). Over his final two collegiate seasons, Potter was perfect on 97 of 97 extra-point attempts and made 41 field goals.
His collegiate accomplishments also include two-time second-team All-ACC honors and a semifinalist nod for the Lou Groza Award in 2022, highlighted by converting 20 of 26 field goals and all 49 extra points that season. The Buccaneers hope Potter’s proven accuracy and consistency will strengthen their kicking game as they prepare for the upcoming NFL season.
