ESTERO, Fla. 026 028-year-old defenseman Sean Allen has signed a standard player contract with the Florida Everblades to return for his third season with the team, announced on July 17, 2026. Allen contributed significantly to the Everblades’ 2025-26 Kelly Cup championship run last season, when he posted three goals and 14 assists over 54 regular-season games, ranking second in the ECHL with 164 penalty minutes. He also appeared in four playoff games during the championship campaign.
Born in Puslinch, Ontario, Allen has amassed six goals, 26 assists, and 314 penalty minutes in 113 games with the Everblades. Beyond Florida, his ECHL career includes stints with the Cincinnati Cyclones and Wichita Thunder, totaling eight goals, 38 assists, and 815 penalty minutes across 297 games. Before turning professional, Allen played five seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with the Kitchener Rangers, Oshawa Generals and Windsor Spitfires, recording two goals, 20 assists, and 381 penalty minutes in 205 games.
Allen’s veteran presence on the blue line aims to bolster the Everblades as they prepare for the upcoming 2026-27 season. The team will open their home schedule at Hertz Arena with a game against the Orlando Solar Bears on October 17, followed by back-to-back games against the Atlanta Gladiators on October 23 and 24.
