Inter Miami CF II fell on the road against Huntsville City FC on Sunday evening after Malachi Molina scored twice late in the match. Molina scored in the 89th minute before adding his second goal in the seventh minute of second-half stoppage time. The result came after Inter Miami CF II entered the match with a 1W-16L-4D record and eight points in MLS NEXT Pro.
Inter Miami CF II generated chances during an evenly contested first half. Theo Vorenkamp and Diego Rey each produced a long-distance effort, but Inter Miami CF II did not score through the opening 45 minutes. Huntsville City FC broke through late in the match when Molina finished a counterattack in the 89th minute.

Diego Rey and Idoh Zeltzer-Zubida started in attack alongside Mateo Saja. Inter Miami CF II is scheduled to host New England Revolution II on Wednesday, Aug. 19, at Inter Miami CF Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
