The Orlando Solar Bears have announced the re-signing of forward Luciano Wilson for the 2026-27 ECHL season. The 24-year-old from Duncan, British Columbia, returns to the Solar Bears after appearing in 16 games last season following the conclusion of his collegiate hockey career at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI).
In his initial stint with Orlando, Wilson produced 10 points, including three goals and seven assists. His journey to the professional ranks included four years of NCAA hockey, with three seasons at Minnesota State University-Mankato and a final season at RPI. During his collegiate career, Wilson contributed 61 points across 123 games and played a key role in securing Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) Championships in 2023 and 2025 with Minnesota State.
Wilson led RPI in scoring during the 2025-26 season with 22 points before transitioning to professional hockey. Prior to his college tenure, he spent five seasons in the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) with the Penticton Vees, helping the team win the Fred Page Cup in 2022. Over 182 BCHL games, Wilson compiled 179 points with a combination of 72 goals and 107 assists.
The Orlando Solar Bears have included Wilson on their 2026 preseason roster alongside forwards Camaryn Baber, Tyler Bird and Aaron Luchuk, and defenseman Jarod Crespo as the team prepares for the upcoming season in Orlando, Florida.
