SARASOTA, Fla. 99New College of Florida sophomore setter Addison Phillippe earned the NAIA National Setter of the Week honor on August 25, 2026, following her standout play at the La Tribu Invitational.
Pillippe led the Mighty Banyans women’s volleyball team to a program-best 7-0 start by directing the team to four wins in two days. Over 16 sets, she amassed 176 assists, averaging 11 assists per set during the tournament.
Her weekend included key performances with 46 assists in a four-set win against William Carey and a weekend-high 51 assists in a five-set victory versus Reinhardt. Additionally, she contributed 36 assists in a sweep of Point and 43 assists during a four-set win over Johnson.
Beyond her playmaking, Phillippe also added nine service aces, 23 digs and eight total blocks during the event.
Through seven matches this season, Phillippe has totaled 303 assists, ranking second nationally in the NAIA with 10.82 assists per set. She leads The Sun Conference by more than 1.7 assists per set in both total assists and assists per set.
The national accolade followed her recognition as The Sun Conference Setter of the Week, earned for the same performance.
New College of Florida returns to action Saturday at the Florida College Labor Day Tournament in Temple Terrace.
