Orlando City Soccer Club continued its commitment to supporting player development on and off the field during the 2025-2026 school year by extending its partnership with SAI Academy, the Official Pre-College Partner for the Orlando City SC Academy. Academy Director Jose Campos emphasized the club’s dedication not only to soccer performance but also to the academic growth of its student-athletes to help create robust college pathways.
Through SAI Academy’s innovative educational methods, which include technology integration, evidence-based learning, and community feedback, Orlando City SC Academy players gain comprehensive preparation for NCAA eligibility and college programs. The approach ensures that athletes have access to resources that support both their athletic and academic ambitions.
During the 2025-2026 school year, 63 Orlando City SC Academy student-athletes achieved a cumulative average GPA of 3.66. Among the 13 graduating seniors, six committed to collegiate programs at notable institutions such as the University of Louisville, Stanford University, Northwestern University, University of Wisconsin – Madison, Stetson University, and Boston University. Additionally, seven seniors signed professional contracts, reflecting the balance between academic achievement and advancement in soccer careers.
SAI Academy’s Director of Academics, Sarah Chadwick, commended the student-athletes for their discipline and dedication in managing the demands of a high-level athletic environment alongside meaningful academic progress. She highlighted the significance of the collaborative efforts involving families, coaches, and support staff in fostering this dual success.
Campos stated, “The Education program with SAI Academy is an important part of how we support our players’ growth on and off the field. Our focus goes beyond performance in soccer. We are equally committed to their academic development, helping create opportunities for college pathways and giving our players the tools they need to succeed in whatever direction they choose. We are incredibly proud of our Orlando City SC Academy student-athletes and all they accomplished this year.”
