The Jacksonville Jaguars elevated quarterback Nick Mullens from the practice squad to the active roster for the team’s game tomorrow via standard elevation. The team announced the move Sept. 12 at 4 p.m. Mullens, 31, spent the 2025 season with Jacksonville and appeared in five games.
Mullens completed 3 of 3 passes for 19 yards and two first downs for the Jacksonville Jaguars last season. He has played in 34 career games, including 20 starts, after originally signing with San Francisco as an undrafted rookie in 2017. His career totals include 533 completions on 808 attempts for 6,448 yards, 34 touchdowns and an 88.3 passer rating.
Nick Mullens’ college background
Mullens is a Hoover, Ala., native who attended Southern Mississippi from 2013-16. He was named the 2015 Conference USA Offensive Player of the Year after starting 14 contests. That season, he set Southern Mississippi single-season records with 4,476 passing yards and 38 touchdown passes.
Mullens has played for San Francisco, Cleveland, Minnesota and Jacksonville during his career. He played for San Francisco from 2017-20, Cleveland in 2021, Minnesota from 2022-24 and Jacksonville in 2025. Mullens is listed at 6 feet and 210 pounds and wears No. 14.
