The Jacksonville Icemen have agreed to terms with forward Brandon Yeamans for the 2026-27 season, bringing the 28-year-old back to Jacksonville after his 23-game stint with the team during the 2022-23 season. Yeamans has five seasons of ECHL experience and first entered the league in 2022 with the Cincinnati Cyclones.
The Maple, Ontario, native has also played in the ECHL for Florida, Allen, Rapid City, Iowa, Norfolk and Bloomington. He played one game for Bloomington during the 2024-25 season before appearing in 63 games as the Bison’s assistant captain in 2025-26. Yeamans has played 223 ECHL games, recording 35 points with 20 goals and 15 assists, along with 468 penalty minutes.
Before beginning his professional career, Yeamans played three seasons at York University in the Canadian USports league. He also spent four seasons in the Ontario Junior Hockey League with the Mississauga Chargers and North York Rangers. Yeamans served as a two-time captain for the Mississauga Chargers from 2017-2019.
Jacksonville Icemen 2026-27 agreements
Yeamans is one of 17 players listed as having agreed to terms with the Jacksonville Icemen for the 2026-27 season. The group includes goaltenders Michael Bullion and Cameron Rowe; defensemen Jaden Condotta, Trevor Griebel, Jed Pietila and Jack Babbage; and forwards Colby Ambrosio, Adam McMaster, Will Hillman, Sasha Teleguine, T.J. Friedmann, Bennett MacArthur, Tanner Kelly, Ashton Stockie, Jacques Bouquot, Kyle Bettens and Yeamans.
The Jacksonville Icemen are an ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Minnesota Wild and the AHL’s Iowa Wild. The team will open its 10th Anniversary Season on Oct. 16 against the Atlanta Gladiators.
