The NWSL match is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET in Orlando, Fla., and will be televised on ION. Orlando enters the matchup after a 2-2 draw against the Kansas City Current on Sept. 11.
Banda carries a club-record scoring season
Barbra Banda enters the match after scoring twice against the Kansas City Current. She has scored 16 goals this season, establishing a new single-season scoring record for the Orlando Pride.
Banda surpassed the previous mark of 13 goals, set by Marta in 2017 and matched by Banda in 2024. Her latest two-goal performance also gave her 10 career multi-goal matches in the NWSL, making her the third player in league history to reach that mark with one club.
Banda joined Sophia Wilson and Megan Rapinoe in that group. She has nine career multi-goal games with the Orlando Pride.
McCutcheon is set for her 100th appearance
Haley McCutcheon is set to make her 100th regular-season appearance for the Orlando Pride against Portland. She would join Marta as the only players in Orlando Pride history with at least 100 regular-season appearances for the club.
McCutcheon has scored a personal-best four goals in 2026. That total includes a goal in Orlando’s Sept. 6 victory over the Houston Dash.
Orlando has won its last three home meetings with Portland
The Orlando Pride have won each of their last three meetings against the Portland Thorns in Orlando. The most recent victory was a 2-1 result on May 24, 2024.
Banda scored twice in that match, recording the second of her nine career multi-goal games with the Orlando Pride. Her performance remains part of the recent home history between the two teams.
The Pride remain unbeaten at CPKC Stadium
Orlando’s 2-2 draw against the Kansas City Current on Sept. 11 continued the Pride’s unbeaten run at CPKC Stadium. Orlando is 1-0-2 at the venue and remains the only NWSL club unbeaten there.
The Pride are also the only team in NWSL history to defeat the Kansas City Current at CPKC Stadium. Orlando won 2-1 at the venue on July 6, 2024.
Marta is approaching another club milestone
Marta’s next appearance will be her 150th regular-season appearance with the Orlando Pride. She also set the previous Orlando Pride single-season scoring record with 13 goals in 2017.
That record stood until Banda surpassed it with her 16-goal season. Marta remains one of the two Orlando Pride players identified as reaching 100 regular-season appearances, alongside McCutcheon.
