Orlando City Academy men’s soccer midfielder Caleb Trombino was named to the Eastern Conference roster for the 2026 MLS NEXT All-Star Game on June 24. The 16-year-old has made nine appearances, including two starts, for Orlando City B during the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro campaign. The selection adds an MLS NEXT All-Star honor to his Academy and professional experience.
The East vs. West game will take place July 27 at 7:30 p.m. ET at Mecklenburg County Sportsplex in Matthews, North Carolina. The event is part of Major League Soccer All-Star Week and will be streamed live on MLS’ YouTube channel and MLSsoccer.com. The 44 selected players will also participate in league events and activities leading up to the match.
Trombino has made nine appearances for Orlando City B
Trombino made his Orlando City B debut and first professional start on March 2, 2026, against Huntsville City FC. He scored his first professional goal March 14 against Carolina Core FC after entering as a second-half substitute. The goal was the game winner.
His nine appearances for Orlando City B include two starts during the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro campaign. Those appearances came while Trombino continued to compete for Orlando City Academy. The All-Star selection recognizes his place in the Academy program and his early professional opportunities with Orlando City B.
Academy production and national-team experience
Trombino played more than 1,700 minutes across 21 matches during the 2025-26 MLS NEXT campaign. He scored six goals at the Academy level during that season. He was also called up to the U.S. U-16 Men’s Youth National Team in November 2024.
Forty-four players from the 2025-26 season were selected for the MLS NEXT All-Star Game presented by Allstate. Trombino will join the Eastern Conference roster for the July 27 matchup in Matthews. Selected players will take part in MLS All-Star Week programming before the game.
Orlando City Academy has previous All-Star selections
Trombino joins Orlando City Academy products who have played in previous MLS NEXT All-Star Games. Gustavo Caraballo and Dylan Judelson played in the 2025 game, while Colin Guske and Juan Rojas participated in the 2024 game. Tahir Reid-Brown played in the 2023 event.
Favian Loyola and Alejandro Granados represented Orlando City in the 2022 game. Loyola earned MVP honors in that event. Trombino is the latest Orlando City Academy player listed for the MLS NEXT All-Star Game.
